The trade-off is that you give up NV modes, but you gain a sight that runs up to 2,500 continuous hours on lithium cells at a nominal brightness setting, so battery management rarely becomes a field problem.

The holographic working system distinguishes itself from LED-based red dots in a meaningful way: the reticle is projected at 200 meters rather than sitting on the glass, which substantially reduces parallax error when your eye moves off the optical axis.
