Description

The Bushnell Vault is a binocular harness pack built for hunters who move through country on foot and need their glass ready without fumbling or announcing themselves. The forward-opening magnetic lid gives one-hand access from the chest, and the magnetic closure is strong enough to keep binoculars seated in the pack even when the pack is inverted — useful during the kind of low-crawl or scramble that spot-and-stalk hunting produces.

The soft-touch outer fabric serves a practical purpose beyond durability: it dampens the brush-contact noise that stiffer synthetics generate when you are moving slowly through cover. The interior is lined with a lens-cleaning cloth material, so the objective lenses are not riding against bare nylon. Side mesh pockets with elastic bands sit on both sides of the main compartment, sized for wind checkers or mouth calls — items you want reachable without opening the main pack. A padded slip pocket on the rear panel holds a phone or documents flat against your chest.

The pack accommodates roof-prism binoculars up to 12×50, and an included riser inserts beneath smaller binoculars to position them correctly at the lid opening. Where the design earns its modular claim is in the harness itself: detach the pack and the offset quick-release buckles on the shoulder straps connect to each other, converting the harness into a standalone chest carrier. The optional Vault LRF pouch attaches to the pack body using the same magnetic closure system, so a rangefinder rides in the same accessible position as the binoculars without a separate belt pouch. The Molle webbing on the bottom of the pack allows attachment of a pistol or bear spray holster.
