Description

The Cloud Defensive REIN 3.0 Complete Kit is a full-size weapon light built for working use on rifles and carbines where reliable, high-output illumination matters. It is aimed at professionals, serious home-defense users, and anyone who puts a premium on a light that functions when conditions are genuinely adverse.

The body is machined from Type III hard coat anodized 6061-T6 aluminum in a three-piece modular design, which means individual sections can be serviced or replaced in the field without sending the unit in for repair. The lens is 3mm thick glass rated to withstand 5.56 Simunition rounds at close range, and the housing carries an IPX-8 water resistance rating, allowing full submersion to 100 feet for 24 hours. These are not paper specifications — the construction choices reflect a deliberate tolerance for abuse.

The REIN 3.0 runs on an 18650 cell, which produces the rated 1,250 lumens and 100,000 candela figures. That candela figure matters for reach: raw lumen output tells you how bright a room gets, while candela measures the focused beam’s ability to push light downrange through smoke, fog, or competing light sources. The 3.0 adds dual-fuel capability, accepting two CR123 batteries as an alternative when a rechargeable cell is unavailable — output drops with CR123s, but the option exists when logistics demand it.

Cloud Defensive’s patented Battery Jack system physically secures the cell to prevent movement under recoil, eliminating the flicker that loose battery contact produces in sustained fire. The remote switch integrates cable management to keep routing clean, and the tailcap functions as an independent backup if the remote switch ever fails. The light mounts via M-LOK only.
