The Resolute MK3 in 8.6 Blackout is built for shooters who want to run heavy subsonic projectiles out of an AR-10-pattern platform without stepping away from the familiar ergonomics of a direct-impingement rifle. The 8.6 Blackout cartridge was purpose-designed around suppressed use, pushing larger-diameter bullets at subsonic velocities and delivering substantially more energy on target at that speed than the 300 Blackout manages — the wider bore simply moves more mass. That performance edge comes with a trade-off: the 1:3″ twist rate is aggressive compared to most rifle-caliber ARs, and it exists precisely to stabilize long, heavy subsonic bullets that would tumble in a slower barrel. Lighter supersonic loads may not suit this twist, so ammunition selection should start with subsonic 8.6 Blackout projectiles.

The 16.1-inch barrel treated in Black Nitride provides corrosion resistance and surface hardness without adding the weight or complexity of a chrome lining, and it keeps the platform at a handling length that balances well with a suppressor attached at the muzzle. The receiver is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum, and the 15-inch M-LOK handguard gives you real estate at the 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock positions for lights, grips, or bipods without carrying the weight of a full-length Picatinny rail. CMMG’s Zeroed 60/90-degree safety gives left- and right-handed shooters a usable sweep angle without requiring an ambidextrous retrofit. The rifle ships with a Magpul 20-round PMAG.
