Description
The CMMG Resolute MK4 is built for the shooter who wants a capable, do-everything AR-15 without having to sort through a parts list afterward. Whether the role is home defense, range work, or varmint hunting, this is a rifle that arrives ready to run rather than ready to be upgraded.
The 4140 chrome moly barrel receives a salt bath nitride finish, which produces a hard, corrosion-resistant surface throughout the bore rather than just on the exterior — a meaningful difference over a standard blued or phosphate treatment when conditions get wet or dirty. The 1:7 twist rate is optimized for heavier projectiles in the 62–77 grain range, giving this platform real flexibility for precision work at distance, though it stabilizes standard 55-grain loads without issue. The mid-length gas system — positioned further down the barrel than a carbine gas port — increases the dwell time before the bolt unlocks, which distributes the recoil impulse over a slightly longer cycle and generally results in a softer, more manageable push compared to a carbine-length system on the same barrel.
CMMG’s ZEROED package covers the controls end to end: an ambidextrous safety selector with both 60- and 90-degree throw options, an ambidextrous charging handle, and an ambidextrous magazine catch. These aren’t afterthoughts — they’re designed together so left- and right-handed shooters get the same repeatable control. The EML15 M-LOK handguard provides attachment points at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions without the weight penalty of a full Picatinny rail, keeping the forend slim and easy to grip. The ZEROED muzzle brake threads onto a standard 1/2×28 pattern, so swapping to a suppressor or alternate device requires no adapter. Cerakote in Armor Black finishes the package.
