Description
The ZEROED 556K is a compact suppressor built specifically for .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO firearms, and it suits shooters who want meaningful sound reduction without adding a foot of length to the muzzle. At 5.5 inches overall, it stays short enough to remain practical on carbine-length hosts where a full-size can would unbalance the rifle.
Construction is entirely 17-4 stainless steel throughout, using a tubeless laser-welded baffle design rather than a stacked or pinned assembly. That matters because fewer mechanical joints mean fewer places for carbon and fouling to accumulate, and the nitride finish extends that corrosion resistance further — particularly relevant for a suppressor that traps hot, wet combustion gases with every shot. The 3/8-inch square drive recessed into the welded front end cap gives you a solid purchase for disassembly without needing a proprietary wrench body.
The suppressor ships with two direct-thread HUB mounts: a 1/2×28 for standard 5.56 hosts and a 5/8×24 for larger-bore rifles where that threading appears. Both mounts include 7/8-inch wrench flats, which lets you index and torque them with a common open-end wrench rather than a dedicated tool. The HUB interface also means additional mounts — for different thread pitches or quick-detach configurations — can be swapped in without returning the suppressor itself.
CMMG rates the 556K for full-auto use, with an approximate cooldown interval after sustained strings of fire. Everything is manufactured in-house at CMMG’s facility, which keeps the supply chain short and quality control internal rather than distributed across outside vendors.
