Description
The Daniel Defense Rock & Lock 1-inch double-ring optic mount is built for shooters who want a clean, tool-friendly solution for mounting a standard 1-inch scope tube to a Picatinny rail without accepting any compromise in holding strength. It fits the overwhelming majority of variable-power riflescopes in common use, making it a practical choice for precision-minded AR shooters and bolt-action hunters alike.
The mount is precision machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and finished with Type III Hard Coat Anodizing — the same process used on mil-spec components — which resists corrosion and abrasion without adding meaningful weight. At 5.5 ounces, it keeps the overall rifle build light enough to matter in the field. The rings each use four fasteners rather than two, distributing clamping force more evenly around the scope tube and reducing the risk of tube distortion during torquing.
The Rock & Lock base system is what distinguishes this mount from a conventional ring-and-base setup. Rather than relying on a separate base or requiring a torque wrench to remove and reattach during transport, Rock & Lock uses Torx Plus fasteners at both the base and the rings to allow repeatable, consistent attachment and removal. The design avoids any external levers or protruding hardware, which keeps the profile snag-free and the return-to-zero reliable across reinstallations. All machining and assembly is done in the United States.
