Description

The Daniel Defense A1.5 Fixed Rear Sight is built for shooters who run a red dot or holographic optic as their primary and want a reliable iron sight that stays out of the way until it’s needed. The low-profile, one-piece body is machined from 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum and finished in Mil-Spec Hard Coat Anodize, giving it the corrosion resistance and durability to hold up alongside the rifle itself without adding meaningful weight to the setup.

The fixed design is a deliberate choice: there are no folding hinges or spring mechanisms to fail or shift zero under hard use. The sight mounts to any Mil-Spec flattop upper receiver and is secured with a slotted fastener threading into a self-locking steel insert, which keeps the sight from walking under recoil without requiring tools to remove when you’re done. The profile is low enough that it does not interfere with the charging handle stroke on M4-pattern rifles, which matters when running a tall or full-length optic in front of it.

The aperture arrangement follows the A1.5 configuration, pairing an A1-style windage adjustment with an A2 aperture. That gives you a sight picture most AR shooters will already know, with the ability to dial for windage as conditions change.
