Description
The DDM4 V7P is built around a compact, pistol-configuration AR platform designed for shooters who need a short, fast-handling package without sacrificing the mechanical refinement of a full-production Daniel Defense rifle. It is well-suited to home defense, vehicle use, and range work where a longer barrel would be impractical.
The 10.3-inch chrome-lined, cold hammer-forged barrel runs a carbine-length direct impingement gas system. At that barrel length, the carbine gas port sits closer to the muzzle than it would on a mid-length setup, which means the bolt unlocks earlier in the pressure curve — something to keep in mind when selecting ammunition or adding a suppressor, as that changes the back-pressure the system sees. The 1-in-7 twist rate stabilizes heavier projectiles reliably, making the platform a solid match for 62-grain and 77-grain loads rather than lighter 55-grain varmint ammunition.
The MFR 9.0 M-LOK handguard gives the shooter a full nine inches of aluminum rail real estate for lights, lasers, and grip accessories without adding the bulk of a full-length tube. The GRIP-N-RIP charging handle is independently ambidextrous on both sides, which matters on a short platform where the shooter’s support hand is naturally closer to the action. The SB Tactical SBA3 stabilizing brace adjusts through five positions and includes integrated QD sling attachment points on both sides of the brace body.
Upper and lower receivers are CNC-machined from 7075-T6 aluminum with Type III hard coat anodizing. The lower includes a flared magazine well and a rear QD attachment point, and ships with one 32-round DD Magazine. The muzzle is threaded 1/2″-28 and fitted with a Daniel Defense flash suppressor, leaving the option open for a variety of muzzle devices.
