Description
The EOTech Holographic Hybrid Sight Green pairs the EXPS2 holographic weapon sight with the G33 3x magnifier on a Switch-To-Side mount, giving a shooter a single system that handles both close-quarters and extended-range work without swapping optics. The STS mount lets you pivot the G33 out of the line of sight in one motion, so you can go from a magnified 3x view back to the naked holographic sight instantly — no tool, no significant delay, no loss of position behind the rifle.
The green reticle is the defining choice here. EOTech states that green is up to six times more visible than red in daylight, which translates to faster acquisition against bright backgrounds or in direct sunlight where a red reticle can wash out. The reticle uses a two-dot pattern calibrated for .223 / 5.56 at specific ballistic reference points, giving you a built-in holdover system rather than a single aiming reference.
Where holographic technology earns its place under magnification is reticle behavior. Because the reticle is projected holographically rather than etched on glass or produced by an LED, its apparent size stays constant at 1 MOA regardless of whether the G33 is engaged. A red dot magnified 3x grows with the image; this one does not, so precision holds under magnification. The system mounts to any 1-inch Weaver or MIL-STD-1913 rail and runs on a single CR123 battery. Green reticles draw more power than red, and EOTech rates battery life accordingly at 600 continuous hours at the nominal setting. The unit is sealed and water resistant to ten feet, and windage and elevation adjust in 0.5 MOA increments.
