Description
The EOTech Vudu 1-6x24mm with SR-2 green reticle is built for shooters who need a single optic to carry them from close-quarters work out to several hundred yards — the kind of role common in competitive 3-Gun shooting, patrol carbines, and general-purpose rifle builds where swapping optics between stages is not practical. At true 1x it functions as a both-eyes-open red dot alternative, while the upper end of the magnification range brings enough resolution for precise shot placement at distance.
The SR-2 reticle is calibrated as a 7.62 BDC MOA pattern, which means the holdover points are sized and spaced for minute-of-angle calculations rather than milliradian math. Shooters already thinking in MOA will move between their dope cards and this reticle without any conversion overhead. Because the scope uses a first focal plane arrangement, the BDC hash marks remain proportionally accurate at every power setting — a meaningful advantage over second focal plane designs, where a BDC is only valid at one specific magnification. The green illumination offers a visible aiming point across a wide range of lighting conditions without the bloom that can obscure fine reticle detail in bright environments.
The 24mm objective keeps the profile low enough to mount the scope close to the bore, which matters for cheek weld consistency when transitioning quickly. EOTech manufactures the Vudu line to hold zero through the mechanical stress of hard use, and the 30mm tube diameter provides additional adjustment range compared to a 1-inch tube — useful when correcting for mounts that are not perfectly aligned with the bore.
