Description

The EOTech Vudu 1-6×24 FFP is built for shooters who need one optic to handle close-quarters work and reach out to medium range without swapping glass. That range of demand is most common on AR-platform rifles and bolt guns used in practical competition, patrol, or general-purpose field use—situations where the threat or target distance is not fixed in advance.

The first focal plane design is the central technical decision here. Because the reticle sits in front of the magnification erector, it scales proportionally as you turn the power ring. That means any holdover, wind correction, or ranging calculation you make using the SR-1’s MRAD hash marks is valid at any magnification setting—not just at maximum power, as would be the case with a second focal plane scope. You do not need to mentally correct for scale before applying a hold.

The SR-1 reticle pairs that precision capability with EOTech’s Speed Ring, which provides an open, fast acquisition picture at low magnification. At 1x the ring dominates your sight picture for rapid engagement. As you increase magnification the ring moves to the outer edges of the field of view and the fine inner crosshair takes over, giving you the precision reference you need for longer shots. The transition is a function of the FFP design, not a separate reticle mode—it happens automatically as you dial power.

The scope ships with a throw lever, battery, lens cloth, and operator and reticle manuals. Power comes from a single CR2032, which is a widely available cell. Construction is fog, water, and shock resistant, and the scope is made in Japan.
