The EOTech Vudu 1-6×24 is built for shooters who need a single optic that handles close-quarters work and reaches out to practical medium range without swapping glass. That demand shapes every design decision in it.

The first focal plane placement means the SR-2 reticle scales with magnification, so holdover marks and ranging references stay accurate at any power setting — not just at one fixed point as they would on a second focal plane scope. At 1x, the illuminated speed ring dominates the view and lets you acquire targets the way you would with a red dot, with both eyes open and no need to search for a precise aiming point. As you dial up toward 6x, the speed ring shrinks out of the way and the inner BDC subtensions come forward, calibrated for the 7.62mm M118LR cartridge out to 600 yards. The transition between those two modes happens naturally as you change magnification, so there is no secondary control to manage under pressure.

Turret adjustments are measured in 0.2 MRAD per click, which keeps corrections fine enough for precision work while still moving the point of impact a meaningful amount per click. Total elevation travel is 29 MRAD, giving you room to dial genuine distance without burning through adjustment range on a basic zero. The scope ships with a throw lever, which matters on a 1-6x where fast power changes are part of how the optic is used. A CR2032 battery powers the illumination — a common cell that is easy to source and carry as a spare.
