Description

The Geissele Super Precision mount is built for shooters who need a scope mount that will hold zero through hard use and return to that zero reliably after removal. It is particularly well suited to AR-15 and M4-pattern rifles where the flat-top Picatinny rail is the mounting surface, and where the shooter cannot afford to question whether their optic shifted.

The entire mount body, including the rings, is machined from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum rather than assembled from separately manufactured components. That construction eliminates interface variation between the ring caps and the body — when the caps close onto your scope tube, they conform to a surface that was never separated from the rest of the mount, which protects the scope body and contributes to consistent fitment every time the mount is reinstalled. Four shear lugs grip the rail beneath the mount, distributing recoil load across the Picatinny interface rather than relying on clamping friction alone. Each of the two thumb nuts applies 1,400 pounds of clamping force, and the mounting footprint spans seven Picatinny slots — a wide enough base that the assembly resists torque under recoil without requiring a torque wrench ritual every range session.

The extended variant moves the scope 1.16 inches forward compared to the standard-length mount. That forward shift is useful when a shooter’s eye position on an AR-15 places them closer to the charging handle than a standard mount would comfortably accommodate for their chosen optic’s eye relief. The finish is a Type 3 hardcoat anodize in black, which is a hard, wear-resistant surface treatment that holds up to holster and case contact without flaking.
