Description
The Geissele Super Precision ACOG Series mount is designed for shooters who run a Trijicon 4x ACOG and want to attach it to a Picatinny rail without compromising the optic’s return-to-zero characteristics. It is a purpose-built solution rather than a universal ring-and-base compromise, and that specificity matters in practice.
Geissele machines the mount from a single billet of 7075-T6 aluminum, which keeps weight down while maintaining the structural integrity needed to handle sustained recoil without shifting. The attachment system updates the classic nut-and-bolt clamping approach to generate 2,800 pounds of clamping force. That figure matters because rail-mounted optics that flex or slip under recoil introduce point-of-impact shifts that are difficult to diagnose in the field. Three shear lugs reinforce the connection mechanically, so the mount resists the rotational and lateral forces that clamping pressure alone does not address — this is what gives the mount its return-to-zero reliability when removed and reinstalled. The finish is a Type 3 hard coat anodize in black, which is the same hardening process used on mil-spec components and provides meaningful resistance to wear and corrosion without adding thickness that would affect fit. At 2.6 ounces, the mount adds minimal weight to the overall optic package. If you are already running a Trijicon 4x ACOG and want a dedicated mount that holds zero under hard use, this is a direct solution machined to that specific optic’s dimensions rather than adapted from a general-purpose design.
