KAK Industry’s Full Chrome BCG is built around an M16 auto-profile carrier, which gives it slightly more mass than a standard AR-15 carrier. That added weight slows the unlocking cycle marginally, smoothing out the extraction sequence under a wider range of gas pressures and ammunition loads — useful if you run suppressed or cycle through different commercial loadings without retuning your gas system.
The carrier itself is machined from 8620 steel, properly heat treated and precision ground, then finished in what KAK calls their Heavy Chrome — the same machine gun chrome specification used on sustained-fire military components. That surface hardness resists carbon adhesion, so fouling wipes away rather than baking on, and the finish holds up to the heat cycles that come with high round counts. The gas key is made from 4130 steel, finished in the same full chrome, and staked with a hydraulic press rather than by hand, which produces consistent engagement across the fasteners rather than relying on operator feel.
The bolt is cut from a single billet of 9310 steel, shot peened to relieve surface stress and improve fatigue resistance, then magnetic particle inspected to catch any subsurface defects before the part ships. The firing pin is ground to mil-spec dimensions from 8740 steel and chrome plated. The extractor is a one-piece billet design, phosphate coated, and the ejector and extractor retaining pin are both S7 tool steel — a grade chosen for its toughness under impact rather than hardness alone. The cam pin carries the chrome finish as well. This is a right-hand, standard AR-15 configuration compatible with 5.56 and 300 Blackout uppers.
