Description

The CMMG Bravo conversion kit lets you run .22 LR through a standard 5.56/.223-chambered AR-15 without modifying the host rifle. The bolt carrier group comes out, the Bravo drops in its place, and you are ready to cycle rimfire rounds through an otherwise centerfire platform. That swap makes it a practical tool for volume trigger time and dry-weather training at a fraction of the cost of centerfire ammunition.

Each kit ships with three 10-round magazines, which suits range use in jurisdictions with capacity limits while keeping the manual of arms identical to any other AR magazine change. Notched-style hammers found on some drop-in trigger units can interfere with reliable ignition on rimfire primers; a round-profile hammer is the correct choice for this setup. On the ammunition side, 36-grain plated nose projectiles have proven most consistent for cycling — hollow points and lead round-nose profiles can create feed and extraction issues that have nothing to do with the kit itself and everything to do with how rimfire rounds headspace and how the extractor engages the case rim. CMMG also notes that .223 Wylde chambers, which are not to mil-spec dimensions, are not guaranteed to work with this conversion, so verify your host rifle’s chamber before ordering.
