Description

The KAK Industry K-SPEC is a bolt carrier group built for shooters who run suppressors regularly and don’t want to re-tune their gas or buffer system every time they do. Its gas venting geometry is the core engineering decision here: rather than exhausting propellant gas toward the ejection port and back toward the shooter’s face, the K-SPEC routes that gas downward through the magazine well channels. This keeps more of the blowback away from the shooter and, when used with a suppressor, measurably reduces the peak decibel report at the shooter’s position — KAK has published comparison testing against a conventional side-vent design to support that claim.

The carrier rails are cut with angled slots that displace fouling, sand, and carbon into areas that don’t contact the receiver walls, keeping the carrier moving even when the action is contaminated. Where a standard carrier relies on the rails staying clean for smooth cycling, these cuts give debris somewhere to go that doesn’t interfere with function — a practical advantage in field use or when suppressor fouling has accelerated carbon buildup.

The dual ejector system uses standard mil-spec ejectors and springs, so nothing here requires proprietary replacement parts when components eventually wear. The carrier itself is machined to the M16 full-auto profile, and the entire assembly receives a full chrome finish throughout — not just on the bore of the carrier key or the bolt itself. The K-SPEC is compatible with both 5.56 and 300 Blackout setups and is designed to drop into any standard AR-15 receiver without modifications to the gas system or recoil assembly.
