Description

The KAK Industry Plan B A2 Flash Hider is built for .308 Winchester and 7.62 NATO rifles where suppressor compatibility and muzzle flash reduction need to coexist in the same device. The A2 silhouette is familiar, but the internal geometry has been reworked around KAK’s Plan B taper-mount system: a precision taper ahead of the threads creates a repeatable, self-centering lockup when a compatible suppressor hub is attached, which matters for zero retention across multiple mount and dismount cycles. Shooters who swap between suppressed and unsuppressed configs will appreciate that the interface does not rely on timing or crush washers to index consistently.

The closed-bottom design carries over from the A2 pattern for a practical reason — it deflects propellant gas upward and to the sides rather than downward, which reduces the dust signature kicked up during prone fire. That is a meaningful field consideration on dry or loose ground where a front-blast wave disrupts your next sight picture. Wrench flats at the rear measure 13/16 inch, so installation is straightforward with a standard muzzle device wrench and does not require improvised tooling.

Construction is 17-4 stainless steel with a Nitride finish. Stainless as a base material resists corrosion at the bore and thread interface where heat and combustion residue concentrate, and the Nitride surface hardening adds wear resistance without adding meaningful weight. The .375-inch bore diameter provides adequate clearance for .308-diameter projectiles while keeping the device compact enough that it does not alter rifle handling. This device is also specified as compatible with the Q Plan B and Rearden Atlas suppressor adapter systems.
