Description

The Lantac M-Spec Gas Tube is a rifle-length replacement gas tube for AR-15 pattern rifles running a rifle-length gas system. A rifle-length gas tube taps propellant gas farther down the barrel than carbine or mid-length configurations, which means the gas arrives at the bolt carrier group later in the firing cycle and at lower pressure. The practical result is a longer, softer dwell time that tends to reduce felt impulse and puts less stress on the operating components over sustained use — a meaningful consideration if you are building or rebuilding a rifle intended for volume shooting.

Lantac manufactures this tube from 306 stainless steel extruded stock rather than drawn mild steel, which gives the tube better resistance to the heat and corrosive combustion byproducts that cycle through it with every shot. The extruded process also yields consistent inner dimensions along the full length of the tube, which matters for repeatable gas flow. A roll pin is included, so the tube is ready to install without sourcing a separate fastener. Laser engraving identifies the tube without paint or markings that can burn off under heat. The M-Spec designation signals mil-spec dimensional compliance, so it seats correctly in standard AR-15 gas blocks and upper receivers without fitting work. The tube is manufactured in the United States at Lantac’s Fort Worth, Texas facility.
