Description

The LWRC Ultra Combat grip is a drop-in replacement for shooters who want more out of their AR-15’s handling without committing to a complete furniture overhaul. The grip ships with a stainless steel hex head mounting bolt, so it goes straight onto any Mil-Spec lower receiver without adapter plates or additional hardware.

The defining construction detail is the over-molded snakeskin panel texture. Rather than a uniform surface pattern, the snakeskin geometry concentrates purchase exactly where the palm and fingers make contact under load, which matters when gloves are in the picture or when the shooter’s hand is wet. The polymer body keeps weight down while the over-molding addresses the slick feel that unmodified polymer grips can develop after extended use.

Inside the grip is a storage compartment sized to hold a CR123A battery, a sight adjustment tool, and an Allen wrench simultaneously. That’s a practical capacity: the CR123A format powers a wide range of weapon-mounted optics and lights, so keeping a spare in the grip means it travels with the rifle rather than staying behind in a range bag. All three items are sold separately; the grip itself ships with only the mounting bolt.

The finish is Matte Black. This is the same grip LWRC selected for the .224 Valkyrie and SMG-45 platforms, which speaks to the design’s intent as a working part rather than a cosmetic upgrade.
