Description

When a 6.5 Grendel build calls for a lower-capacity magazine — whether to clear a bench rest, meet a competition division’s round limit, or simply top off a rifle that’s already been loaded — this CMMG magazine gives you a factory-spec option built around the same platform geometry as the rest of your AR15. Because the 6.5 Grendel cartridge’s wider body requires a dedicated magazine rather than a standard 5.56 mag with a spacer, the feed geometry here is purpose-designed for the round, and CMMG has extended that compatibility to include 6mm ARC and .22 ARC as well — three cartridges that share the same case head and fit the same magazine well.

The body is stainless steel with a black finish, which gives it corrosion resistance without the weight penalty of a steel body that hasn’t been lightened for the application. The blue anti-tilt follower is a deliberate design choice: tilt is one of the primary causes of feed failures in double-stack AR magazines, and a follower that stays level under spring pressure keeps the cartridge aligned with the feed ramp consistently through the full round count. At ten rounds, the magazine sits flush or near-flush in most AR15 lowers, which matters if you’re shooting from a supported position and ground clearance is a factor.

This is a direct replacement for the factory magazine on any CMMG Mk4-platform rifle chambered in 6.5 Grendel, and it will work in any AR15 with a standard magazine well configured for that family of cartridges.
