Description

The Large DAKA Lite Pouch is built for situations where every gram matters — backpacking, hunting trips, or any kit where a rigid organizer would be dead weight. Magpul designed it as a lighter, more packable alternative to the original DAKA pouches, trading some structure for meaningful reductions in bulk without abandoning durability.

The shell is 70-denier TPU-coated nylon, a fabric choice that stays flexible in cold conditions and resists abrasion better than uncoated equivalents of the same weight. Rather than stitched seams — which add thread weight and create potential weak points — Magpul uses RF welding to fuse the panels together, producing a continuous bond that also limits moisture infiltration along the edges. The zipper is a YKK AquaGuard unit with a water-repellent finish, so light rain or a wet pack won’t soak through the closure. The pull is injection-molded with a Magpul emboss, giving you something positive to grip when working in gloves or low light.

Corner carabiner attachment points let you clip the pouch to a pack’s exterior loops or a gear rail, so it can serve as an external organizer rather than disappearing inside a bag. At roughly 41 grams, it adds almost nothing to a load. The 9 x 13 inch format is large enough for electronics, a first-aid flat, or a set of tools, while still fitting neatly inside a day pack’s main compartment.
