Description

The Safariland 7360RDS is built for duty carry with an optic-equipped Glock 34, addressing the retention and draw demands of officers and professionals who run red dot sights on their service pistols. Most holsters designed before the widespread adoption of pistol-mounted optics require compromises in fit or retention when a slide-mounted sight is added; the 7360RDS is engineered from the start to accommodate the optic rather than work around it.

Retention comes from two independent systems layered together. The ALS, or Automatic Locking System, engages a locking mechanism the moment the pistol is fully seated — no manual step required. To draw, the shooter releases the ALS with the thumb in a straight upward motion, which keeps the draw stroke natural and avoids the rotational or outward movements that can break under stress. Over that sits the SLS, the Self Locking System rotating hood, which adds a second layer of active retention and requires its own deliberate defeat before the ALS release. Together they meet the Level III retention standard.

The holster body is injection-molded from SafariSeven, a proprietary nylon blend that resists heat and maintains its shape without the brittleness that can come from harder polymers. A raised standoff on the interior keeps the slide slightly clear of the holster walls, which allows debris and moisture to drain away rather than pack against the firearm. The mid-ride positioning keeps the grip at a practical height for a standing draw while staying close enough to the body to avoid snagging. SureFire X300U weapon light compatibility is built in, and the mounting interface accepts the full range of Safariland holster attachment options. This specific configuration is plain black and right-hand oriented.
