Description

The Magpul DT Carbine Stock is built for shooters who want the security of a locked-up stock without having to manually engage a secondary latch every time they adjust length of pull. The core of the design is what Magpul calls Dual Tensioning technology — a system that draws on the geometry of both the SL and CTR stocks to apply friction from two directions simultaneously. The result is a stock that grips a Mil-Spec receiver extension tube tightly enough to eliminate the play and rattle common to basic collapsible stocks, while still releasing smoothly when you want to move between positions.

Unlike the CTR, which requires you to depress a lever to unlock before adjusting, the DT uses an auto-engaging friction lock. The stock grips under load and releases when you deliberately press the adjustment lever, so there is no fumbling for a secondary latch under pressure. This makes one-handed length-of-pull changes more practical in field conditions, including when wearing gloves. The A-frame profile keeps the silhouette narrow and the weight down, which matters if you are running a carbine in tight spaces or switching between positions frequently.

Fit is straightforward — the DT drops directly onto any Mil-Spec buffer tube without modification, making it a clean swap for anyone upgrading from a standard collapsible stock. The Olive Drab Green finish is Magpul’s own ODG color, which coordinates with their existing ODG furniture line if you are building a matched set. Construction is consistent with Magpul’s carbine stock lineup: polymer over a reinforced internal structure designed to handle hard use without cracking or deforming under lateral stress.
