Description

Magpul’s M-LOK Type 2 Half Slot Rail Covers in OD Green are built for shooters who want complete handguard coverage without leaving exposed M-LOK slots between full-length panels. Where a standard Type 2 Rail Cover fills an entire slot, these half-slot versions are sized to occupy whatever space remains after you’ve positioned lights, slings, or other accessories — keeping the handguard surface clean, protected, and consistent underhand.

Each panel mounts non-orientation specific, so there’s no wrong way to install them. That matters when you’re working around asymmetrically spaced accessories and need a cover to drop in without fussing over direction. The beveled edges reduce the chance of gear catching on a sharp corner during a transition or when pulling the rifle from a case. The TSP texture — Magpul’s Tactical Superiority Panel surface — provides enough grip to matter without being abrasive against skin or fabric.

At just 1/8″ of protrusion from the mounting surface, the profile stays low enough that a hand moving forward on the handguard won’t catch or roll over the panel. These are not compatible with Magpul MOE, MOE SL, or SGA-style polymer forends, which use a different slot geometry — they’re designed specifically for M-LOK aluminum handguards. Each package contains six panels, giving you enough to fill out a heavily accessorized handguard or spread across two builds. Made in the USA and finished in Magpul’s OD Green, they match other ODG furniture cleanly for a consistent build.
