Description

The Magpul MagLink is a magazine coupler built specifically for PMAG AK/AKM magazines chambered in 7.62x39mm. Its purpose is straightforward: join two 30-round PMAG AK/AKM magazines — whether MOE or GEN M3 — so that when the first runs dry, the second is already indexed and ready to seat, trimming the time and attention a reload demands under pressure.

The two-piece bolt-on construction spans the magazines at a wide set, which distributes stress across the coupling rather than concentrating it at a single point. That geometry resists the flexing that can cause a coupled pair to torque against each other and shift out of alignment. Integral grooves on the coupler engage directly with the ribbing molded into the PMAG body, so the interface between coupler and magazine is mechanical rather than friction-dependent — the mags stay put without relying on clamping force alone.

The entire assembly is impact-resistant polymer, keeping added weight minimal; the coupled pair remains manageable for field carry. Because the geometry is specific to the PMAG AK/AKM ribbing pattern, this coupler is not compatible with 5.56×45 or 7.62×51 PMAGs, nor with any metal AK magazine.
