Description
The MBUS Pro Offset Front Sight is built for shooters running a magnified primary optic who want a reliable iron sight backup that doesn’t interfere with their main setup. Rather than folding flat along the top rail, this sight mounts at a 45-degree offset to the right-hand side, so transitioning to irons is a matter of rotating the rifle rather than removing or adjusting anything. That geometry keeps the sight completely out of the field of view when a scope or red dot is in use, while still giving a standard AR height over bore the moment it’s deployed.
Construction is all steel throughout, case hardened and finished with Magpul’s QPQ Melonite process. That treatment goes beyond surface coating — it penetrates the steel itself, producing a part that resists both wear and corrosion at a level a conventional blued or phosphate finish doesn’t reach. The sight post is a steel rectangular design that can be switched between Match and Standard widths depending on the target and the task. Elevation adjustment is tool-free, with detented clicks so settings don’t wander under recoil. The deployed position locks up with a positive detent as well, so there’s no ambiguity about whether the sight is fully up or partially folded.
Rail footprint is under two-thirds of an inch on the top rail, which matters on rifles with already-crowded forend real estate. The sight is compatible only with the MBUS Pro Offset Rear Sight (MAG526) — it is not interchangeable with standard MBUS Pro components. All MBUS Pro Front Sights now ship with the Enhanced Front Sight Post installed from the factory. Made in the USA.
