Description

The Magpul M-LOK Dovetail Adapter gives precision rifle shooters a direct path to mounting RRS-compatible bipods and tripods on any M-LOK handguard without resorting to rail sections or adapter stacks. The four-slot M-LOK footprint spreads clamping load across a wider span than a single-slot mount, which matters when a bipod or tripod head is under lateral stress during andling or transport.

Magpul machines the adapter from aluminum and finishes it in a mil-spec hard anodize, which resists corrosion and keeps the surface hard enough to survive repeated accessory swaps without wearing the interface. The dovetail geometry follows the RRS/ARCA standard, so any head or clamp built to that spec will drop on and index correctly without fitment work.

Two details separate this from a plain plate. First, drilled and tapped holes are positioned to stop accessory overtravel at a defined point, so the bipod or tripod head cannot walk past a safe engagement zone under recoil. Second, recoil and impact mitigation lugs bear the rearward force that would otherwise be transmitted entirely through the dovetail clamp, keeping point of impact consistent across strings of fire. Beveled edges keep the adapter from hanging up on slings, cases, or bags during transitions. At roughly 2.79 oz, the weight addition is modest enough that it rarely changes a precision shooter’s balance calculus, but it is worth accounting for on a weight-sensitive build.

This adapter is most at home on a dedicated precision or PRS-style platform where a stable tripod or bipod interface is part of the system rather than an afterthought.
