Description

The MOE-K2 is Magpul’s answer to a specific ergonomic problem: when a short length-of-pull configuration pulls the shooting hand closer to the body, the standard A2 grip angle forces the wrist into an awkward bend that fatigues the hand and disrupts trigger control. The K2 addresses this by steepening the grip angle toward vertical, which straightens the wrist and lets the trigger finger approach the shoe at a more consistent angle — a meaningful difference on compact builds where the geometry is most pronounced.

Unlike the MOE-K, which trades grip volume for compactness, the K2 keeps a full-size profile. That means shooters with larger hands get adequate purchase without cramping the palm, and the beavertail backstrap guides the trigger finger to a repeatable position on every draw. The aggressive TSP — trapezoidal surface pattern — texture covers the grip surfaces to maintain purchase when hands are wet, gloved, or cold, without the kind of sharp edges that abrade skin during extended sessions.

Construction is one-piece reinforced polymer, which keeps weight low and resists the cracking and warping that plain polymer can develop under sustained use. The grip is hollow and compatible with Magpul’s optional Storage Cores, so the interior can be used for small kit rather than left empty. All mounting hardware and a basic grip cap are included, making this a straightforward drop-in replacement for the standard AR-15/M4 pistol grip. Made in the USA.
