Description

The MOE SL-M is Magpul’s most compact offering in the SL carbine stock family, built specifically for PDW-style platforms where overall length is a primary concern. If you are running a short-barreled build and need the stock to match that intent rather than fight it, this is the appropriate tool — it trims length of pull down to territory that most full-size carbine stocks cannot reach even fully collapsed.

It drops onto any Mil-Spec carbine receiver extension without modification, so fitment is straightforward for the overwhelming majority of AR-pattern rifles already in service. The ambidextrous release latch is recessed and shielded, which solves a practical problem: an exposed paddle on a compact rifle in a chest rig or sling tends to get knocked, causing the stock to shift at the wrong moment. The shielded design prevents inadvertent release while still allowing fast, one-handed adjustment with either hand.

The rubber butt-pad is angled at the toe rather than cut square. On a standard stock that distinction is cosmetic, but on a short, fast-handling rifle it matters during rapid shoulder transitions, particularly when worn over body armor or plate carriers where the contact surface shifts unpredictably. The internal latch geometry is also designed to reduce play against the receiver extension without requiring set screws or friction locks, keeping the stock quiet and positive without extra hardware.

A 1.25-inch sling loop is built into the stock and accepts Magpul’s M-LOK QD Sling Mount, giving you a push-button QD attachment point without adding bulk. The entire unit is reinforced polymer construction in Magpul’s Flat Dark Earth finish.
