Description

The Magpul MOE Carbine Stock is a straightforward, no-frills buttstock built for AR-15 rifles running a mil-spec receiver extension. It suits shooters who want a reliable, adjustable stock without the added weight or complexity of higher-end designs — a practical choice for a general-purpose carbine build or a cost-conscious upgrade over a factory plastic stock.

The A-frame profile does real work here: it wraps around the adjustment lever so the latch stays shielded from incidental contact with gear, slings, or barricades, reducing the chance of an unintentional position change during movement. The release latch is ambidextrous, so either hand can actuate it without repositioning the firing grip. A chrome-silicon lock spring — a stiffer, more fatigue-resistant material than standard steel — holds each position firmly and resists the creep and rattle that can develop in lesser springs over time.

The sloped cheek weld keeps the profile slim while still giving the shooter a consistent contact point. The 0.30-inch rubber butt-pad adds enough grip to stay planted against a shoulder even when wearing body armor or a plate carrier, and it’s removable if you need to swap it out. Two 1.25-inch sling loops and a lanyard hole at the toe give you several options for attaching a sling without a separate adapter, though the stock is also compatible with Magpul’s ASAP and ASAP QD receiver-end sling mounts if you prefer that attachment point. For shooters who later want to add a cheek riser, the MOE is compatible with Magpul’s CTR Cheek Risers when the stock is fully extended. Made in the USA.
