Description
The MS1 Lite is Magpul’s answer to a recurring problem with standard rifle slings: excess bulk that snags in cases, racks, and weapon safes, and webbing that rolls, twists, and chafes under load. Rather than simply trimming an existing design, Magpul developed a custom-woven 1-inch single-ply webbing specifically for this sling. That narrower, single-layer construction sheds weight and profile without sacrificing tensile strength, and the custom weave geometry resists the rolling and bunching that makes wider slings uncomfortable during extended carry.
The slider hardware was redesigned to match the slimmer webbing. It moves freely enough to lengthen or shorten the sling quickly during a shoulder transition or positional shift, but locks without creep once set — no tails or excess loops left hanging to catch on gear or optics. That combination of fast adjustment and positive retention is what makes the MS1 system useful for hands-free carry as well as shooting support from slung positions.
The MS1 Lite is particularly well suited to lightweight rifles and smaller-platform builds where a heavier, wider sling would feel out of proportion and add unnecessary drag. It goes through the same wet, dry, and sand testing Magpul applies to the full-size MS1, so the reduced footprint does not come with reduced confidence in conditions. The sling ships as a two-point unit, and Magpul’s existing MS3 and MS4 adapter series — including the Paraclip, QDM, and QD Sling Swivel options — are compatible, letting you configure attachment points to match your rifle’s hardware without replacing the sling itself. Coyote finish.
