Description

The Magpul MS1 Padded Sling is built for shooters who carry a rifle for extended periods and need a sling that keeps up with them rather than fighting them. Whether you’re running drills at a square range, hunting in rugged terrain, or working a long day in the field, the padded shoulder section distributes the rifle’s weight across a wider area, reducing the cumulative fatigue that a plain webbing sling starts to create within an hour or two.

At its core, the MS1 Padded is a dedicated two-point sling, which means it keeps the rifle oriented predictably against your body and provides a stable shooting platform when you loop your support arm through and use the sling for position shooting. That two-point geometry also makes shoulder transitions more controlled than a one-point design allows, since the muzzle doesn’t swing freely. When you do need one-point functionality, optional Magpul adapters — sold separately — allow the conversion without replacing the sling itself.

The adjustment mechanism is Magpul’s MS1 slider. It lets you move between a tight work position and a relaxed carry length in one deliberate motion, and it holds that setting without the creep or gradual loosening that friction-based buckles can develop under load. The variable-width tubular webbing, which runs from 1.25 inches at its narrowest to 2 inches across the padded section, keeps the hardware low-profile and eliminates the loops and dangling tails that can catch on door frames, vehicle interiors, or brush. The foam padding itself uses a closed-cell construction, so it resists moisture absorption rather than soaking it up and holding it against your shoulder. This variant is finished in Ranger Green.
