Description

The Magpul MS3 Gen 2 is built for shooters who need their sling to change roles as fast as their situation does. It runs in both one-point and two-point configurations, and the transition between them is designed to be made with one hand — no fumbling, no removing the sling from the rifle. In two-point mode it stabilizes the rifle during a patrol or a vehicle transition; in one-point mode it gets the rifle out of the way for close-quarters work or gives you freedom to move the gun between shoulders without the webbing fighting you.

The hardware holding this together is worth understanding. Each Paraclip connector is built from case-hardened steel and heavy-duty polymer. The steel levers go through a QPQ salt bath nitride process, which gives them corrosion and wear resistance well beyond a simple paint or bluing. A Cross-Bolt Lock Bar inside each Paraclip lets you lock the lever closed when you want the connection positively secured, or leave it operable for fast weapon-release in an emergency. The symmetrical shackle geometry means the clip works the same regardless of orientation — no wrong way to snap it in.

The 1-1/4-inch nylon webbing is custom-made for this sling rather than pulled from a generic stock. It carries a Near Infrared treatment that reduces the sling’s IR signature, which matters in environments where thermal or night-vision observation is a factor. The MS1 Slider handles length adjustment in two-point mode without producing the tail of excess webbing that creates snag hazards on gear and doorframes. Manufactured in the USA and fully Berry Amendment compliant.
