Description

The Magpul MS3 GEN2 is a convertible sling designed for shooters who need to move fluidly between different carry positions and shooting configurations without stopping to reconfigure their gear. It runs in both one-point and two-point modes, and the transition between them is handled with one hand, which matters when the other hand is occupied with a firearm or another task. Two-point mode distributes weight across the body and keeps the rifle stable during movement; one-point mode frees the weapon to swing out for close-quarters work and lets you shift it between shoulders without fighting the sling. The MS1 Slider handles length adjustment in two-point mode with a single hand, and it holds position once set rather than creeping under load.

The Paraclip connectors are the mechanical core of the system. Each one is built from hardened steel and heavy-duty polymer, with the steel levers case hardened and finished in a QPQ salt bath nitride process that resists corrosion and wear without adding significant weight. A Cross-Bolt Lock Bar inside each Paraclip lets you pin the lever closed when you want the attachment point positively secured, and the symmetrical shackle geometry allows the clip to be released quickly if you need to get the rifle completely clear. The webbing is a custom 1.25-inch nylon construction treated with Near Infrared reduction to lower IR signature in environments where that matters. The design eliminates the trailing tails and adjustment loops that create snag points, which is a practical concern whenever the sling is in contact with brush, kit, or a vehicle interior.
