Description

The Magpul MS1 is a dedicated two-point sling designed for shooters who want genuine, on-the-fly length adjustment without the hardware clutter that slows down positional shooting. The core of the system is the MS1 slider, a mechanism that lets you shorten or lengthen the sling quickly under load. Once set, it holds position without drifting — there are no loose tails or dangling loops to catch on gear or door frames, which matters in any situation where a snag costs you time or control.

Two-point carry is the primary use case here: the geometry supports easy shoulder transitions and gives you a stable shooting platform when you need to use the sling as a support aid from kneeling, prone, or other field positions. For shooters who want one-point capability from the same sling, Magpul offers optional adapters sold separately that convert the MS1 without replacing it outright.

The webbing is 1.25 inches wide and made from nylon, with a slider adjustment range that moves the overall length through a 10-inch window — enough range to accommodate body armor, different layering, or a change in carry style without rethreading anything. Hardware throughout is lightweight polymer rather than metal, which keeps the sling from adding noticeable weight or creating cold-weather handling problems. The webbing also receives a Near Infrared treatment that reduces the sling’s IR signature, relevant for anyone operating with night-vision equipment. Magpul ran the design through extended wet, dry, and sandy cycling as well as static load and dynamic drop testing before releasing it.
