MAGPUL MS1 PADDED SLING BLK

Description

The Magpul MS1 Padded Sling is built for shooters who carry a rifle for extended periods and want a two-point sling that stays out of the way until they need it. It covers the same ground as the standard MS1 but adds a padded center section — a meaningful difference when the sling is bearing weight across a shoulder for hours rather than minutes.

The webbing is custom tubular nylon that runs 1-1/4 inches wide through most of its length, then widens to 1-7/8 inches at the padded section. That wider span distributes load over more surface area, which reduces pressure on any one point and cuts down on the fatigue and skin irritation that a narrow strap causes under sustained carry. The padding itself is closed-cell foam with a ripstop coating sewn to the inside of the webbing, so it adds protection without creating a soft pocket that traps moisture or bunches up under movement.

Adjustment runs through the MS1 Slider, which lets the shooter shorten or lengthen the sling with one hand and holds that length without slipping when tension is released. There are no loose tails or dangling loops — the slider trims the excess and keeps the sling profile clean, which matters in confined spaces or when transitioning quickly between positions. The hardware is reinforced polymer, keeping weight down without sacrificing durability.

The webbing also carries a Near Infrared treatment that reduces IR signature, a detail relevant to anyone running night vision equipment. Optional adapters — sold separately — allow the sling to convert between two-point and single-point configurations depending on the setup and the task.
