Description
The Magpul MS3 Single QD Sling Gen 2 is built for shooters who need a sling that adapts to the situation rather than committing to a fixed configuration. It converts between one-point and two-point carry modes, letting you shift your rifle from primary shoulder to reaction shoulder quickly without removing the sling or fumbling with hardware. That transition happens with one hand, which matters when the other hand is occupied.
The two attachment methods handle different mounting situations. A push-button QD swivel connects to the sling cups found on most modern lower receivers, receiver end plates, and buttstocks. The Paraclip—a steel-and-polymer shackle with case-hardened levers finished in QPQ salt bath nitride—handles looped attachment points like M-LOK Paraclip sling mounts. A Cross-Bolt Lock Bar lets you pin the Paraclip lever closed if you want positive retention, while the symmetrical shackle design also supports a fast emergency weapon release when you need to shed the rifle entirely.
Length adjustment runs through the MS1 Slider, which lets you add or remove tension with one hand in two-point mode without the sling slipping back to where it started. That keeps the webbing tight to the body and eliminates the loose loops and tails that can snag on gear or doorframes at the wrong moment.
The 1.25-inch nylon webbing is built to resist both wear and chafing, and the black webbing carries a Near Infrared treatment that reduces the sling’s IR signature—relevant for anyone operating under night-vision equipment. Construction is Made in the USA and Berry Amendment compliant, meaning every component meets domestic content requirements for government procurement.
