Description

The Magpul MS1 QDM is a dedicated two-point sling built around a single defining mechanism: the MS1 Slider. Rather than threading webbing through a series of buckles, the Slider lets you lengthen or shorten the sling with one deliberate pull. Once set, it holds position without drifting, and because there are no loose tails or trailing loops, there is nothing to catch on gear, door frames, or vegetation during a fast-moving day.

Where the standard MS1 relies on aftermarket swivels, this QDM variant ships with Magpul’s own quick-disconnect swivels already installed. Those swivels use a low-profile, one-handed release rather than a conventional push-button arrangement. A Melonite finish protects the metal components against corrosion, and a rotating bale keeps the webbing aligned so it feeds cleanly through the attachment point instead of rolling over and binding.

The 1.25-inch nylon webbing is proprietary to Magpul and is treated to suppress Near Infrared signature — a practical consideration if you are operating in environments where thermal or night-vision observation is a factor. The hardware is reinforced engineering polymer, keeping overall weight down without introducing flex under load. Magpul put the design through extended wet, dry, and sandy cycling tests, sustained static-load holds, and weighted dynamic drop tests to confirm that neither the webbing nor the hardware degrades under realistic field stress.

Primary use is two-point, which gives the most stable platform for shooting support and hands-free carry. One-point carry is possible by adding MS3 or MS4 adapters, sold separately, if your use case calls for it. Mount compatibility is QD sling swivel sockets.
