Description

The Magpul PC Backpacker stock exists for one specific purpose: turning the Ruger PC Carbine into something you can actually pack into the backcountry or stow in a bag without the rifle dominating the space around it. It addresses a real limitation of the factory stock, which offers no practical way to reduce the rifle’s footprint for transport.

The mechanism that makes this possible is a locking interface built into the stock body. Rather than simply removing the barrel assembly and carrying two separate pieces, the system lets you fold the barrel back and lock it directly against the receiver, producing a single compact unit that is a fraction of the assembled rifle’s length. That is a meaningful difference when you are hiking in or working out of a vehicle.

The handguard replaces the factory unit and includes M-Lok slots at the three and nine o’clock positions, so a light, pressure switch, or bipod can be mounted without adding a rail section. Multiple QD cup locations give you flexibility in sling attachment points depending on how you carry the rifle.

Storage is built into the design in two places. The grip contains a water-resistant compartment suited to a cleaning kit, small tools, or survival items. A separate compartment in the riser section is sized to accept a pistol magazine up to the length of a 21-round Magpul PMAG GL9, which keeps a spare on the rifle without adding a separate carrier.

Interchangeable cheek risers let you dial in cheek weld height to match whatever optic you run. The stock ships in Flat Dark Earth and is compatible with both 9mm and .40 S&W PC Carbine models.
