Description
The PMAG 20 AR/M4 GEN M3 is built for shooters who want a standard AR-pattern magazine that sits flush under the rifle rather than extending well below the receiver — particularly useful when firing from a prone position, where a longer magazine can force the muzzle upward or require an awkward shooting angle. The twenty-round length lets the rifle sit lower to the ground without the shooter fighting the magazine against the surface.
Internally, the constant-curve geometry guides rounds along a single consistent path from follower to chamber, reducing the angle changes that can cause nose-diving or feed hesitation. The self-lubricating, anti-tilt follower moves straight up the magazine body rather than canting to one side under spring pressure — a common failure point in standard GI-spec followers that this design addresses through its four-point contact within the body.
The polymer shell is formulated to resist crushing and impact rather than simply cracking clean on hard contact, which matters when a loaded magazine takes a direct fall onto rock or concrete. Reinforced feed lips maintain their geometry through that kind of abuse, since deformed feed lips are one of the most common causes of failure-to-feed across AR-platform rifles. The over-insertion stop on the spine prevents the magazine from seating too deeply in non-standard lower receivers, and the bolt catch notch geometry provides clearance across M4, M16, AR-15, HK 416, MR556, and M27 IAR platforms.
The floorplate is removable without tools for cleaning, and the paint-pen dot matrix on the body lets you mark individual magazines for load identification. An optional impact and dust cover is included if you want to protect the top round and feed lips during storage or transport. Made in the USA.
