Description

The Magpul PRS GEN3 is built for the shooter who needs a consistent, repeatable position behind a semi-automatic precision rifle — whether that’s a dedicated varmint rig, a long-range AR-10, or a DMR-style AR-15. It fits both AR-15/M16 and AR-10/SR-25 platforms, so a single stock can move between uppers without compromise.

The core value of this stock is its tool-less adjustability. Length of pull and cheek piece height are both dialed in via aluminum knobs with click detents, meaning you can make repeatable, incremental changes without reaching for a tool bag. The cheek piece matters here because eye relief alignment on a magnified optic is sensitive — a fraction of an inch in either direction changes your sight picture, and the ability to lock a precise position in place is what separates a field precision stock from a standard collapsible.

The buttpad is rubber and adjustable for both cant and height, which lets you fine-tune shoulder contact for your particular build and stance. Beneath the stock, M-LOK slots provide a direct mounting interface for a rear monopod — useful for supported precision shooting where a bipod alone doesn’t fully stabilize the rifle. QD sling swivel cups are rotation-limited, so a mounted sling doesn’t walk or bind under movement.

The adjustment shafts are Melonite-finished steel, which provides corrosion resistance without adding bulk. The buttplate is engineered to handle substantial recoil, making the stock viable across a wide range of chamberings. Optimized for rifle-length receiver extensions, the PRS GEN3 is also compatible with many MIL-SPEC carbine and A5 length tubes, though Magpul recommends a rifle-length extension for best fit.
