Description
The Magpul XTM Hand Stop Kit is built for shooters who want a positive, repeatable grip position on a Picatinny-railed forend without adding bulk or weight. It addresses two practical problems at once: keeping the support hand indexed consistently for shot-to-shot accuracy, and acting as a hard stop that prevents the hand from drifting forward onto a hot muzzle or front sight assembly during sustained fire.
The kit ships as four pieces — a large hand stop, a standard XTM rail cover, a short index panel, and a half-size XTM rail cover — that together fill and cover the rail section where your support hand rides. The hand stop itself mounts with a 1/8″ hex tool; the remaining panels use the same interlocking tab system as Magpul’s XTM Rail Cover line, so they snap into place and hold firmly under hard use without any additional hardware. That shared tab system also means you can integrate existing XTM panels seamlessly if you’re already running them elsewhere on the rail.
Rail contact surfaces use Magpul’s TSP texture, which provides grip without being abrasive against bare skin or gloves. The whole assembly sits low on the rail, so it doesn’t significantly alter the outside diameter of the forend or interfere with most handguard wraps. Construction is Magpul polymer throughout, keeping weight minimal. Availability in Black, FDE, and ODG makes it straightforward to match other Magpul furniture already on the rifle. Made in the USA.
