Description

The MDT ACE Premier Gen2 is a precision chassis built for bolt-action competition shooters running Remington 700 short-action rifles, though its adjustability and stability make it equally useful for serious hunters and range-focused shooters who want a repeatable fit. This is a drop-in system: the action drops in and is secured with two screws, no gunsmithing required, which means you can get to the range quickly after swapping from a factory stock.

Bedding is handled by a machined V-block — a tapered, V-shaped interface that maintains consistent contact between the action and chassis. That consistent contact reduces the micro-movement that accumulates over a firing session and degrades point of impact, so the bedding approach here is doing meaningful mechanical work rather than serving as a marketing term.

The forend runs 15 inches, a deliberate reduction from the Gen1 length. Shorter forend geometry improves balance when running shorter barrels and makes the rifle easier to manage across PRS-style props and barricades. The forend itself is thicker and more rigid than its predecessor, which reduces torsional flex when the rifle is loaded onto a barricade stop — the integrated barricade stop is also taller on the Gen2, giving more consistent contact on vertical surfaces. A full-length ARCA rail runs the underside for direct bipod or tripod attachment without adapters.

Drilled holes along the top of the forend accept MDT’s NV and Control Bridge system. Cheek riser height, length of pull, and hand position are all independently adjustable, so the chassis can be dialed in for different shooters or different positional demands within the same match.
