Description
Night Fision’s Precision Optic Plate bridges the gap between a Glock MOS-cut slide and a red dot footprint that doesn’t match the factory cutout. The Glock MOS system uses a proprietary adapter plate arrangement, so running an RMR-footprint optic directly requires a properly fitted intermediary plate rather than forcing a mismatch that could shift under recoil. This plate fills that role for full-size and compact MOS models, including the Glock 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 26, 34, 35, 40, 41, 45, 47, and 49.
The plate is machined from 17-4 stainless steel, a grade chosen for its strength and resistance to deformation under the cyclic stress of pistol recoil. A nitride finish over that substrate adds corrosion resistance without meaningfully altering the plate’s dimensions, which matters when the interface between slide and optic needs to be consistent shot after shot. At 0.2 inches thick, the plate introduces a predictable rise to the optic’s seating height — relevant when selecting iron sight blade heights for co-witness setups.
Compatible optics include the Trijicon RMR Type 2, RMR HD, SRO, Holosun 407c, 507c, 507Comp, and 508t, as well as the Swampfox Liberty and Justice and the Gideon Optics Granite with RMR footprint. Each package includes mounting hardware and a combination T10 Torx and flat-head tool — the flat head serves double duty for optic windage and elevation adjustments and for Holosun battery compartment access. Night Fision publishes a co-witness pairing guide that cross-references this plate with specific blade heights for each compatible optic, which takes the guesswork out of sight selection.
