Description
The Night Fision Optic Plate + Backup Sight Combo solves a problem that optics-ready pistol owners run into immediately: mounting a red dot on a CZ P-10 while keeping a usable iron sight picture. This kit bundles the mounting plate and backup sights together so both needs are addressed in one purchase rather than sourced separately and reconciled after the fact.
The plate itself is machined from 17-4 stainless steel and finished with a nitride coating. That combination matters because the slide of a semi-automatic pistol subjects anything mounted to it to repeated, sharp rearward acceleration — a softer alloy or a thinner section would flex or peen over time at the screw seats. The nitride surface adds corrosion resistance without changing the underlying dimensions, so the fit to the slide and to the optic footprint stays consistent. The plate is cut to the Trijicon RMR footprint, which also accepts the Holosun 507c, giving you a broad choice of compatible red dots now and in the future.
The backup sights are set at a lower one-third co-witness height, meaning the iron sight picture sits in the lower portion of the red dot’s window rather than bisecting it. In practice, this keeps the dot’s field of view clear during normal use while still allowing a fast return to irons if the optic fails or runs out of battery. The front sight uses a tritium insert with a yellow ring for low-light visibility, while the rear is left blank with anti-glare serrations — a deliberate choice that keeps the rear from competing visually with the front in dim conditions. The kit includes extra mounting screws and an installation tool, which removes the need to source hardware separately before you can get the setup running.
