Description
The Noveske Love Handle is an ambidextrous charging handle designed specifically for the Large Frame N4 (AR-10) platform. It addresses a real operational problem: on a rifle that sees suppressed use or runs on the hotter side of the gas curve, blowback during cycling sends combustion gases rearward toward the shooter’s face. The integrated gas fence redirects that gas away before it reaches the shooter, which is a meaningful quality-of-life improvement on a suppressed build and a practical one on any over-gassed setup.
The latch geometry is forward-swept rather than flat-faced. That angle aligns with the natural rearward pull motion, which reduces the wrist rotation required to get a clean grip on the latch — particularly relevant when running gloves or when speed matters. Both latches are accessible regardless of which hand initiates the pull, so either-hand operation requires no adaptation or special technique.
The 2.310-inch overall width is a deliberate constraint. Wider charging handle latches catch on gear, sling hardware, and vehicle door frames in ways that cause real operational problems; keeping the profile narrow without sacrificing latch purchase is the design tension the Love Handle resolves. The latches stay low-profile rather than extending outward to achieve that width.
Noveske machines the Love Handle from 7075-T6 aluminum and finishes it in a Type III hard coat anodize. The hard coat anodize matters at this component specifically because the charging handle absorbs impact loading from the bolt carrier on every cycle — a surface that can’t hold up to that mechanical stress becomes a reliability concern over time. The Black finish here is the Type III hard coat anodize, not a paint or cerakote applied over it. Made in the USA by Noveske Rifleworks.
