Description

The BDE 762 is Primary Weapons Systems’ modular 30-caliber suppressor, designed for precision rifle shooters and hard-use field applications where weight, durability, and configuration flexibility all matter. The entire baffle stack and outer body are 3D-printed from Grade-5 titanium — the same 6Al-4V alloy used in aerospace structural components — rather than machined from billet. That manufacturing process allows PWS to produce geometries that traditional machining cannot reach, and the resulting structure is both lighter and mechanically stronger than a conventionally machined titanium unit of the same volume.

The suppressor is modular, running in five distinct length configurations. Shortening the can reduces overall system length and weight, which matters for maneuvering in tight spaces or reducing muzzle-heavy balance on a shorter host rifle. Running it long maximizes baffle volume and, with it, suppression performance — PEW Science’s independent testing returned a Suppression Rating of 48.7 on a .308 host, with the long configuration producing moderate back pressure and the short configuration producing low back pressure. Shooters sensitive to gas blowback in the action can meaningfully change that characteristic by selecting the appropriate configuration rather than swapping hardware.

The exterior surface is textured rather than smooth, which serves a dual purpose: it accelerates heat dissipation between strings of fire and reduces the mirage shimmer that a hot smooth-walled can produces in a rifle’s sight picture. Tapered threading between baffles prevents the carbon buildup that causes sections to seize together or work loose under thermal cycling. The rear mount interface uses the 1.375″x24 universal thread pattern, giving the BDE 762 broad compatibility with the mounting ecosystem that has consolidated around that standard.
