Description
The A-DAC 15 lower receiver is built for AR-15 shooters who want genuine ambidextrous function rather than token left-hand accommodations bolted onto a right-handed design. Radian machined it from billet 7075-T6 aluminum, which gives the receiver its geometry from a single solid block rather than a casting, allowing for the tight interior contours that house the A-DAC system and the integral trigger guard and flared magazine well.
The centerpiece is the patented A-DAC — Ambidextrous Dual Action Catch. On a standard AR-15, locking the bolt to the rear with the right hand means breaking your grip on the fire control group. The A-DAC eliminates that: pull the charging handle rearward, press the right-side magazine release, then let the charging handle go forward. The bolt locks back without the shooter ever moving their firing hand. That matters most during competitive stages or any drill where speed on the reload counts.
Beyond the A-DAC, the lower ships with Radian’s Talon 45/90 Ambidextrous Safety Selector in both long and short throw configurations, a left-side magazine release, and a right-side bolt release. The SART — Self-Adjusting Receiver Tensioner — is a spring-loaded plunger that bears against the upper receiver to take out the slight play that exists between most upper and lower pairs, which keeps the fit consistent as components wear in. The Flat Dark Earth Cerakote finish is applied over the billet aluminum and provides a durable protective layer. This is a stripped lower, so it ships without a buffer system, stock, grip, or trigger group, giving builders full control over the completed configuration.
